2012 Custom Bike Show to hold in Beaulieu, UK

UK – Following a successful inaugural Custom Motorcycle Show held in Bournemouth earlier this year, Ocean Events is delighted to announce that from 2012, the show will be held annually at Beaulieu, home of the world famous National Motor Museum, in the heart of the New Forest.

 The 2012 show will be held in the Beaulieu parkland on the 16th and 17th June, when visitors will not only be able to enjoy The Custom Motorcycle Show, but also the established annual Hot Rod & Custom Car Festival plus all the other attractions that Beaulieu has to offer.

 Hundreds of world class custom motorcycles will also be on show, with over 70 bikes entering the AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building.  

There will be several categories for the bike builders including Freestyle, Modified Harley, Period Chopper, Daily Rider and Street fighter/Performance Custom. There will be hundreds of exhibitors including custom bike dealers, custom accessories and hard parts, plus the Vendors and Merchandise Village.

McLaren MP4-12C

McLaren opened its first German showroom just in time for the 2011 Formula One German Grand Prix. On display in the showroom is the McLaren MP4-12C which features a revolutionary carbon fibre chassis structure, the first time a car in this market segment is based around such a strong and lightweight racing car engineering solution.

This step change in sports car design means that the 12C introduces new standards not just in handling, ride and outright performance, but also safety, economy and practicality in an already competitive sector.

The McLaren MP4-12C, is a high performance two-seat mid-engine model in the ‘core’ sports car market segment for cars costing between £125,000 and £175,000.

2012 PORSCHE 918 SPYDER (HYBRID)
The Porsche 918 Spyder is the first plug-in hybrid car from Porsche. It is equipped with a 3.4 liter V8 engine supplemented by three electric motors delivering 218 horsepower. The 7-speed gearbox system incorporates a double clutch delivering power to the rear axle. The 918 spyder is capable of a 0-100 km/h dash in 3.2 seconds and tops out at about 320 km/h. ASTON MARTIN VIRAGE
The Virage is a new entry that sits between the DB9 and the DBS. It is powered by a 6.0 liter V12 producing 490hp. The interior of the Virage is handcrafted and this takes up to 70 hours for each vehicle.

2012 BMW M5
The power plant is an all new 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8, similar to the engine found in the X5M producing around 550bhp. It delivers power to the rear wheels via a seven-speed double-clutch ’box. You can expect it to shoot from a standing start to 100kmh in around 4.5 seconds and continue to an electronically limited top speed of 248kmh.

The Lexus LF-Gh hybrid concept takes the company’s L-Finesse design philosophy one step forward and combines style, performance, efficiency, and environmental compatibility with advanced, new technologies. 

All New Volkswagen Beetle

1. - Glass areas: Windshield, rear doors and side glass will be removed and replaced with bullet-resistant transparent armor multi-layer glass and polycarbonate inner layer to prevent fragmentation upon ballistic impact. Glass 39mm (Multi Hit), supplied by AGP to be used on all windows. Cargo windows and rear doors dark OEM, front windows medium dark. All transparent areas will be Level B6.

2. - Front driver side window (driver) will be operable to 4/6 inches.

3. -  Body: Doors, pillar posts, side panels, kick-panels, firewall, cargo compartment and headers (laterals) will be armored with ballistic composite material equivalent material or air hardened heat treated ballistic steel in accordance with defined standard of defeat. Overlap system used throughout NIJ Level IIIand EN 1063 B6 protection. Cargo are to be protected by means of secondary interior hinged flat glass with swing barn doors. Rear view mirror to be mounted on steel.

4. - Roof: Armored with ballistic composite material in accordance with NIJ IIIA EN 1063 B4 standard.

5. - Floor: Floor areas will be armored with multi-ply rigid ballistic fragmentation material toprotect against single German DM 51 or US M-67 grenade.

6. - Vehicle Structured Modifications: Reinforcement of pillar posts and hinges an hardened plastic door risers installed on all doors.

7. - Fuel tank: Ballistic fragmentations wrap level NIJ IIIA/B4.

8. - Battery: Original replaced with an Optima® bullet-resistant battery.
